Testive offers students several different test prep packages. Depending on the package you choose, you might have access to one-on-one tutoring, an adaptive learning platform to keep you one schedule, practice exams, and more. 

The adaptive learning platform is something that stands out with Testive. Essentially, the platform harnesses the power of AI to personalize your learning experience. The software curates the practice questions you are served to optimize your learning experience. Along the way, the Testive software is designed to provide instant feedback on your incorrect answers and track your progress leading up to test day. 

Here’s a breakdown of the various learning options:

• Self-paced study: Self-paced study includes access to thousands of practice questions, up to eight practice tests, use of the adaptive learning platform, and one test review session with an expert. This costs $99 per month, with a minimum of two months. 
• Guided study: In addition to the self-paced resources, the guided study option comes with up to eight test review sessions, four personal check-in sessions with a tutor per month, and personalized answer explanations. This costs $499 per month, with a minimum of two months. 
• Custom tutoring: In addition to all of the resources of the guided study package, this option includes unlimited test review sessions, weekly meetings with your tutor, additional practice tests, and coaching on the necessary study skills to succeed in college. This costs $250 per hour, in increments of 10, 20, or 30 hours.

The right test prep package varies based on your needs.

Academic Advising

Testive goes beyond test prep services to offer admissions counseling services. You can work with an expert in a one-on-one setting to navigate the college application process. The seasoned advisors can help you create a customized timeline, advise you on essays, develop your resume, coach you for an interview, and more. 

The standalone academic advising options cost $300 per hour. But if you want to combine both standardized test tutoring and academic advising, you’ll need to get a quote for a personalized package.

Other Standardized Tests

Testive offers one-on-one tutoring for students in grades K to 12 and beyond to prepare for a range of standardized tests. Some of the supported tests include the SSAT, ISEE, SHSAT, AP exams, IB, GED, TACHS, GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

Are There Any Fees?

Testive offers a free SAT or ACT practice test. But other than that, you’ll need to pay for Testive’s services. The SAT/ACT tutoring packages range from $99 to $499 per month. If you opt for hourly support, you can expect to pay between $250 and $300 per hour.

However, the combination packages of tutoring and admissions support don’t advertise prices. Instead, you’ll need to reach out to the company for a quote on that particular level of service. 

How Does Testive Prep Compare?

Testive isn’t the only test prep option. Here’s how the company stacks up:

Prep Expert also offers SAT and ACT test prep courses, with a guaranteed 200-point improvement for the SAT within the six to eight-week course timeline. Like Testive, you can find self-paced and guided options with a tutor. Prep Expert also offers private tutoring starting at $69 per hour and admissions counseling services with packages ranging from $6,999 to $13,999. Overall, Testive might be the more affordable choice. But Prep Expert could be right for students looking for more extensive admissions support.

Testive’s support options aren’t cheap. If you are looking for a budget-friendly choice, Khan Academy is a free resource. While Khan Academy doesn’t offer ACT prep options, it does offer free resources to prepare for the SAT. The free resource doesn’t offer any private tutoring options. However, you will find ample video lessons and practice tests to work with, which could be a good place to get started.
